PCA Club car - collectible?
Well, a friend of mine received notification from PCNA that he is one of the 48 that has the option to buy one of the PCA Club cars!
Do you guys think these will bring a premium in the future? Would it be worth doing what it takes (loans, financing etc.) to get the car? Any chance money could be made by flipping it right it away?

Probably the biggest profit would be realized by flipping sooner rather than later.
Not that the situation is similar but, a few years ago a friend bought 24 first edition Mini Coopers and flipped for a good profit. He took a haircut on the second batch though. I'd say if your friend doesn't have the cash to buy he is better off selling his option to buy.

Jeez, it's only 100K--why wouldn't he just buy it?

I doubt that they'll allow the transfer of the option to buy to another party - I agree that the money will be made in the short term, I'd put it up on Ebay

I think that the option to buy does not exclude the possibility of dealer markup on these cars.
Pretty sure they will be hard to come buy at sticker price, as there are only 100 of them... ![]() edit: Not the same folks, but Chevy dealers seem to be marking up Z06's about $20000...

There are only 50 of them and no 05 will have its color or options. With special serial numbers I bet they will appreciate. You may just have to wait about 30 years.

Actually there are only 48 of them that will be sold by lottery, one will be going back to the factory museum, and one will be given as the grand prize in the drawing.
