Cast Fuchs

I saw in a competitors catalog an ad for cast "original" fuchs from some wheel company in Italy for about $250 (16x7-8). Aren't our fuchs forged? Any info on such a wheel?

I have heard there where both forged and cast Fuchs rims. Canīt confirm it though.

Really?

I thought REAL Fuchs are forged, repros are cast.

Maybe it's the Cookies that are confusing us? They are cast.

Thats probably the case, Chris.

Fuchs is a company in Germany that makes wheels. I'm not sure what the Italian company has to do with it. I think the company is still around and makes cast, spun and multi-part forged wheels, along with other stuff.

Have a Porsche friend that has a set of fake "Fuchs"
don't remember the brand but they are cast aluminum
look ok...have a simular surface grain like the Cookies.

John,

The Swedish term for chef is kock. Look up the Swedish meaning of your last name.

No offense, just found it a bit amusing - been on call all night, now tired and a bit silly. SmileWavy

Forged, heated and pounded, like a sword to slay dragons.

They did make one off variations for special requests, like racing. However, I doubt they cast Porsche wheels. The final word will be in soon.

The competitors ad, (Performance/Automotion) states 'Fuchs replica' in it, made in Italy.
Ad is confusing because it the added the word "forged" in the description.

John: I don't think you're gonna like it....

BTW, this was pretty much answered but this kid of caps it....

"Hi Rick,

FUCHS never sold casted wheels not to PORSCHE or DAIMLER or BMW or....
FUCHS and SUPERIOR have an 50/50 JV in Hungary named SUOFTEC where casted and forged wheels will be produced.

Regards
Joachim (Otto-Fuchs)"

So, it doesn't appear that Fuchs produces in any other than Hungary where they are in partnership with anothe co. As many may know Fuchs currently makes wheels for just about every euro car company.
