Question Additional info for tires -- help?

Sorry about not including rim size. Remember, I'm refurbing a car from EBAY so I have no history.

Rims must be 15 inch. Porsche "Star" pattern if that helps.

I have 205/60's and 215/60's on them right now that need replacing. Weird thing is that the engine compartment states 185/70 "I think".

I've been all over town and have found that tire "guys" aren't particularly service oriented...must have too much business.

So, any help with suggested size would be great here so I know whether the tire stores are jerking me.

Thanks
Dan

I have a 77 911S
Stock tire size I believe is the 185 you mention.
I have 205/60/15 on there now and that seems to be a great size to run on the mid 70's cars.

I went with Michelin Pilot XGT V rating. Working great for me.
