Well sense I was told to post pics.. I'll do that now. I look forward to chatting with you all to talk about my new love Jason.

Very nice, you'll have a lot of fun. But, don't take it for granted that your life will never be the same, nor will your wallet!

The first thing I'd do is get some Euro headlights on that baby....

PS-just noticed the car sitting behind yours, nice!

Nice car! Supposedly the best year for mid-years.

What's with the cop car?

Looks like Wisconsin plates-where you at?

Hey, thanks for all the comments. Ill have to look into euros. I dont even know the difference. Is that the h4 conversion? The cop car is my fathers demo vehicle(hes not a cop). I live in the Madison area. Thanks again for the comments. Jason

I'll take original paint over a respray every time. Nice looking coupe! And a sunroof delete as well!!

You should have used that image with the Crown Vic and invented a TAALLL tale by way of introduction. Save it for a few months. We'll have forgotten and you can start to spin your yarn....

I'm sorry to be the one to tell you that the paint isn't original
The factory doesn't paint over the engine latch receiver & bolts like that.

But you bought it to drive anyway right? The paint is not going to make it any less fun!

On the plus side the rims look like deep sixes ('69 thru '71), which are quite a bit more valuable than the '72 thru '77 6x15's!

Hey,

Thats cool , I just noticed that your right side plate is open so you are losing some cooling air from your fan, slip a can over it to keep that air flow over the clyinders.

I think some of those "52,000 original miles" may not be original, either.
I agree. That engine compartment looks pretty ratty to have that little of miles.

Well said. Perhaps a little left-rear smackage has happened too.
So, what did you spray the housing and fan with today ?

Best of luck and much fun to you.

Welcome and be advised, this place is addicting!!! Nice car, enjoy it. BTW, your hood badge looks worn, send it to me and I'll send you a nice shinny new one.

So, what's the story on the cop car in the rear? Friend or foe? Congrats on the car and welcome.

I was thinking the same thing, also in the pic's I noticed the alignment of the hood looked like it was either not closed all the way or not adjusted properly ???

But lot's of things to do on any new car you buy ...

Good luck with the car and Welcome! This BBs should be set as your browser home page and checked repeatedly throughout the day. Or, like some of us here, never left during the day...

I agree with some of the comments above - the car may have more than 52,000 miles and been hit in the rear at some point. May have been minor but I would get it on a rack and look at the longitudinals. Just to be safe.

Does anyone remember some of the best critique from Roland Kuntz just by seeing a photo of a car interior? I miss that guy and his posts...
