Removing Temp Sender

Does anyone have any tricks or suggestions... I just can't seem to get anything down to remove the temp sender in my 930 so that I can do the numerical temp gauge conversion.

Any pointers would be MUCH appreciated.

You should use a "crow Foot" to get in there. Make the job a lot easier.

Sender removal....

Be careful about putting too much pressure on the sender. They tend to be really stuck so it is better to remove the mounting block, put it in a bench vice and then remove the sender. If you over torque the sender while it is mounted to the engine, you can strip the threads in the rear engine cover!

BE CAREFUL!

A warm engine, pbblaster and a little luck. Don't be afraid to use a little cheater bar for additional torque.

I think he is talking about the oil temperature sender, not the oil pressure sender. You just need to get a longer 19mm wrench. SmileWavy
