My new carrera silver over burgundy.

I just bought an 87 Carrera from Kansas and drove it 1200 miles back east, what a sweet car. Now I have to sell my 73 track car, cause I'm keepin' this one. The only thing in question is valve guides. On the trip back I had to add a quart of oil and it probably needs another now. There aren't any leaks, but when Iwould come off an exit after a few 100 miles I would get a puff past my window. How bad is it? otherwise the car was flawess. BWT the car has 123k and looks like 23k

1200 miles and only 1 quart? That's fairly average consumption...
