installing RS America passenger seat on driver side of '85 Carrera

The title says it all. I'm replacing the 8-way full power seat on the driver side of my '85 Carrera with a passenger side RSA seat. The RSA seat (4-way power) has all the rails and such and bolts right up. Same power connecter and that all works... obviously the seat controls are on opposite sides now but that all works fine.

Any creative ideas on what to do with the seatbelt receptacle? If I had the right side rail from a driver side 4-way power seat would that bolt right up? Should I just cut off the bracket and re-weld it to the side it should be on?

Anyone done this before?

I have a driver's side seat track out of a power seat sitting on my bench right now. It has the tunnel side seat belt receptor welded on. Do you happen to have a non power seat rail, driver or passenger side, out of your 85? If so, I'll trade you for my driver's side rail.
Another option if you don't want to trade is to get the speedster tunnel side seat receptor brackets from porsche. Brey Krause also makes a tunnel side receptor bracket.
Let me know if you want to work out a trade.

I don't have that rail to trade but I would be interested in just buying the part you have to make this work.

By the way, I ended up bolting in that blue sport seat in my '85 and she looks great.
