The tag on the engine lid jamb reads:
655 9 3 PLATINMETALLIC U1 In English I guess Platinum Metallic - I like it a lot.

The Fuchs are sevens & eights, 16". Thanks for all the responses. How does one attach pics in a reply, such as you did Vin-barret? (Guards Red is great). I don't see any buttons to push like there are when submitting a new post.

Nice car. i love that color.
Whas up with the fog lights? Look like carrera (1984 or newer) and it looks like they are on the wrong sides, pointing outwards. If that's a ROW thing I'm gonna look pretty dumb ![]() |

The fog lights are factory and indeed do point outwards. I would guess it's an ROW thang, but I'm a newbie - whadda I know? I leave them on all the time at night- they nicely augment the near field view even on clear nights. I just had my first freeway jaunt on Sunday - Carlsbad to Van Nuys & back. Freeways are boring but I had to go and at least learned that mpg at a Sunday 75 to 90 mph, 3 hr round trip was 25 mpg.
Like I bought the car for economy, right!
