Breather hose connection????
I was cleaning my engine compartment on my 87 911 and removed the air box and afm also, behind the afm there was a approx 3/8" inside and 1/2 " outside diameter fiber coated breather hose I believe, I followed the hose back to the drivers side upper left hand corner, I do not know where this connects to I looked over the Bently with no help, any ideas? Thanks, P.S. it is not the hose that goes into the airbox, but is the same type of hose

If it exits thru the r rear fender into the charcoal cannister, it is probably the vac tube that connects to the fuel evaporative tank under the f left fender. It runs thru the rr fender just behind/under oil filler tube, across firewall behind throttle body and dives down into the firewall on the drivers side and somehow up to the evap tank which sits on top of the windshield washer reservoir. I suspect it runs thru a tunnel in the body or perhaps there is a hard line that runs from front to back, but I have not been able to visualize it.
