Windshied/headlight washers?
I have 2 tanks (small tank on top of a larger tank) in the driver front wheel well. I see how the big tank ( with the pump attached to it) hooks up to the headlight washers.... does the windshield washer has its own separate pump? What is is the small tank used for? Or are there two independent setup..... if so, funny how the bigger tank is for the headlamps and the smaller one for the windshield.... TIA!

That small one is your expansion tank for the fuel tank.

thanks... I knew Porsche was smarter than that.
How does that expansion tank work? I now see the tube going to the fuel filler spout. |

There are two lines going to this tank. As the gas expands becaues of heat the fumes go into the expansion tank and return as it cools down. No working parts.

And that big tank is for the headlight washers AND the windshield washers. The two systems share the same reservoir.
The pump for the windshield washers is attached to the front bulkhead on the left side near the battery. |
