Ignition switch dead...push button???

Yeah I did that. I bypassed the ignition for the starter (what was acting funny). Installed a toggle switch. Should have put a push button obviously. Works great, still need the key in the ignition for the fuel pump etc so security is the same if not better. Kind of adds a wow factor. At the same time a working ignition is much nicer/faster. I would splurge and get a new ignition. I dont have a wireing diagram on me, it was pretty easy, if you really want I can guide you through it.

just searched this topic and it seems that people use the original key to turn on all accessories but rewire the solenoid wire to a push button to save their ignition tumbler and BUMPO

Did you see the guy that put the S2000 start button in the hole where the flasher button is? very cool I think. I intend to do this.
