Fuch experts

I'm intersted in these wheel which the seller states are 15x8 and 15x9. I'm sure they're not! Are they 7's and 8's? Thanks

Get the seller to take pics of the stamped numbers on the inside of the wheels.

Is this guy a true P-car guy? If not his mistake is measuring with a ruler across the rim..... It's always longer than what they really are. I think 7 inch Fuch rims are almost 8 inches across from lip to lip.

Wheels are on ebay and are local. Seller has not replied to my reqest for pic's and not long left in auction. I'm intersted if they are 7's and 8's but not 6's and 7's . Tire sizes are 205/50 215/60. I think you could be right Chad ,he has just measured across the rim. Tough call I know!
Thanks guys

With those tire sizes, I would say they are 6 and 7.

They do look like 7s and 8s to me. Can’t be sure without seeing the stamps on the inside.

They look like 7 & 8's, On my 88 the factory sizes were 195/65 and 215/60-15's. Which is what I have on now

I changed my mind. The one standing up looks like my 8s (I went out and checked). My 7s have a lot less exposure than the others so they probably are 9s. Still can’t tell with out checking the numbers. But 15x9s a pretty rare so you pays your money and you takes your chances. I’d be more concerned that they were cracked.

Thanks everyone. Seller really didn't give much info. All a bit of a gamble. So we'll roll the dice make a bid and see what happens! Will up date when I have a result.

Hold on Mick, those are FAKES!.

The wheel on the right leaning against the MB is an 8x15 and is fake. The wheel without the tire on top of the other wheel is it's partner in crime.

The other 2 wheels are 7x15s, and appear to be genuine.

Too late!

I see you bought the wheels, Mick.

Check the numbers on the back of the spokes when you go to get them. Maybe the guy will let you out of the deal given they are not genuine.

After more study of the pic, I'm not sure about the 7s. They may be fakes too.

Look at the 8s. The spoke narrows as you move towards the center hole. See how narrow it gets? Now look at a genuine wheel. The genuine wheel is much wider there.

Thank for trying to let me know dvkk. Not a good day. I put new anti virus software on my computer a couple of weeks ago and it collects what it thinks is spam in a seperate box. I didn't wake up til just now and guess whats in there. The sellers reply to my questions about the stamps on the rims! You have a great eye for fuchs. But now it looks like there mine they're not fake they're AFTER MARKET. The 7's are real. I do think the guys add was quite misleading. Bugger

Aftermarket = fake.

Ask the seller if he'll let you out of the deal. I had a friend who got out of an eBay deal when the item wasn't in the condition both seller and buyer expected. They agreed that my friend would pay the eBay fees and the deal was off.

Contact the other 2 bidders, see if they want to buy them from you. I'd disclose what you found.

Mick,

Sorry to see your displeasure.

Correct, 15x7s appear OEM. The 15x8s are aftermarket.

I've been know to have a set of nice 15's available, if you are still looking.

Thank you,
Jason
