anyone else see the new 993 console update?

From Better Bodies,

http://www.betterbodiesmotorsport.com/interiors/accesories1/993console.html

Seems pretty cool! I think it may perk up my interior a bit and provide a nice spot for my CHT, oil temp and pressure gauges.

What do you think?http://www.betterbodiesmotorsport.co...sole%20001.jpg

I think $600 is absolutely ridiculous.

Yeah, carpeted and covered in vinyl though, with an integrated boot. I know I spent $80 on a nice boot, and carpet for the door pockets can sometimes run $150/200....

I would like it more for $250, don't get me wrong ;)

Mark Wilson 09-28-2005 10:27 AM

agreed

Kroggers 10-18-2005 04:30 AM

Could you not make one to look like that with FG??

david.avery 10-18-2005 05:02 AM

Yeah Paul, I'm sure that's what their's is, they are a fiberglass body part shop.

Someone in the biz could probably use a stocker as a plug and pull a mold from it, fix it up a little, and sell it, but it would probably cost similar money by the time they were done, IMO.

JBO 10-18-2005 05:25 AM

It is cool, and I like the integrated arm rest, but too expensive.

Kroggers 10-18-2005 05:27 AM

I think it is really cool, and would like something like that - but not at that price.

dunno about you , but to use that as an armrest, i'de have to lean over to the right and bend myself in a twist ...

Where do the switches that were on the original console go?

jorian 10-18-2005 08:55 AM

Wouldn't this be a "Frontdate?"

Seems like you would spend $600 and then another $1000 later to put it right when it came time to sell.

klaucke 10-18-2005 09:02 AM

No center console is key...

david.avery 10-18-2005 09:18 AM

Heh, yeah, it's an "update" ;)

Kevin Stewart 10-18-2005 09:45 AM

it would be better with cup holders, Kevin

edward993 10-18-2005 09:57 AM

I think it looks great and very well executed, but far too much to spend on "just" that IMHO.

JeremyD 10-18-2005 10:03 AM

Think I could put a LCD TV in the upright part?

mjshira 10-18-2005 10:23 AM

does anyone know where I could get just the regular 930 console?

Kroggers 10-18-2005 10:27 AM

I'm sure you can do one for half of the price and some work
