multivex sideview mirror install over stock mirror?
 

I was test fitting a multivex wideangle sideview mirror over my stock mirror as suggested by multivex. Due to curvature the multivex will stick out past the black frame of the mirror housing. IMHO this looks kinda cheesy - looking down from above you'd actually see the top edge of mirror sticking beyond the frame. Has anyone tried taking off the stock glass and mounting the multivex mirror directly to the adjustment mechanisms? Is it easy or hard or even possible.
