CHT testing question
I just tried to test my CHT on the '85 TL. I've had problems with a rich mixture.
The CHT only has 1 wire hence 1 pin. The connector from the DME has 2 pins. I tried testing the resistance, ohm meter touching the 1 pin on the CHT and ground, I got a reading of 2.54 ohms, within spec I believe. I thought I might test for continuity, same placement and there is no continuity. Should there be continuity? Is the CHT good, bad or ugly? Any help welcomed. Thanks :) |
Not to be a wiseguy, but how can there be no continuity if there is resistance? If there is resistance anything other than infinity, there is by definition continuity.

My point exactly Greg.

it's the old style anyway, so yank it and install the newer two wire sensor. the one wire sensors cause various running and dying problems when they get old, which they all are now.

Thanks John, I'll order one up now. What is with the 2 pin connector and single pin sensor though?
Thanks |
