Can anyone share information about clear mask (or similar) paint protector

Does anyone have templates that I could use to cut my 3M clear mask paint protector? OR does anyone know how these are installed without templates? I bought some bulk mask made by 3M.

Here's the tricky part:

I have turbo flares, front and rear
old school long hood and matching fenders.
RS style front bumper (with extensions for front fenders).

I don't expect anyone to have my complete set, but even pieces would be great. Physical pieces or CAD files could be sent.

I'd modify an RS bumper if someone has them.

If we can build a set, everyone can use them. I started using paper, but it didn't hold to the curves of the rear flares very well. I thought about using other products to build the template, but was kind of stumped. Any other ideas?

Here's the car:

Can anyone shed some light on their experience with applying, using, installing, clearmask products?

I have experience with traditional vinyl and I am familiar with the process used to install the clear stuff. It is extremely difficult to do a clean job. It is a 10 on the difficultly scale. The guys that can do it right are artisans as far as I am concerned. Try it at home, but be prepared for some serious frustration.

Doug if you want to have it done there is guy that does nice work in San Diego. PCA member John Payne had his car done a couple months ago. Came out very nice. Ask Jae for John's number for more info.

John and Mike,
Thanks for your comments! Is John Payne up there in Escondido, too?

Doug

Do you know if he posts here?
