Hand brake light vs. tall people

Just curious how many of you have driven around with your hand brake on. I am a little over six feet tall and cannot see the handbrake warning light unless I lean down and look. (granted, I should look at the handle to see if its up) I was driving home from work the other day and started to notice a shake. (like a wheel was out of balance) It hit me immediately! My friggen handle was pulled up about three clicks. No harm, no foul. I inspected the shoes and they were fine. (lucky for me, cause I just replaced them less then two months ago) Well I got fed up with the out of sight warning light and installed my own. I put a 12v, yellow, flashing LED in the dash just to the right of the tach. Now I can see it plain as day. No smoked hand brake shoes and discs for me!

There's a hand brake light?...Oh yeah, there it is.

But seriously, I cannot see it either, so I always set the handbrake hard enough to prevent the car from moving when I start out. As for releasing it, I have found it on after driving, but never more than one click.
