Anyone in San Diego willing to borrow/loan an engine stand?

Getting ready to drop the engine. Would appreciate if someone has an engine stand w/ the 911 motor mounts I could borrow/loan.

Long list of things to do while engine is out.

Much appreciated.

Hold on now, the HF engine stand is fine as long as you have the proper adapter.
A half circle ring that spreads out the weight and is bolted to the stand is what is generally recommended and used, if you just bolt the engine stand to the 4 points on the engine which is normal with V8s, it will result in quite a bit of stress on the ole aluminium block.
will it take it without cracking? Probably, but not for sure.
Lots of folks recommend against it for good reason. The risk is not worth the cost of a new engine block.
If you can't borrow one you can pick up an adapter ring on e-bay for not too much money, and sell it when you are done with it and recoup most or all your cost.
I bought a complete 911 stand on e-bay when I did my engine and then sold it to Zeke for exactly what I paid for it. All it cost me was shipping, and he got a good deal too.

So how about just buying the engine stand and get the proper 911 engine adapter mount?

Will this work?
