Why is it so hot? - AC wiring question
The wiring on my AC fan switch gets awfully hot on high speed, after an hour, too hot to hold it in your hand. When I drop the fan speed back on notch, it is fine. The switch is new (less than a year), what could be my problem. Is it the fan motor up front or the relay down where the air is sucked from the passenger footwell?

Sounds like the fan motor is failing and /or you have high resistance in the circuit (wiring/relay).
I would take this issue seriously and look into it. My first guess would the fan motor drawing too many amps

Thanks, my guess is the relay or resistor for the high speed. It doesn't get hot on low or middle speed.

If you have it on high speed generally the rsistor pack is no longer being used to control the fan, the fan get it current direct from the relay.
