Clutch?
Hey, first post here, and just wondering what clutch I should use for a goal of 500whp. A friend of mine with a 600+whp C4 uses a Kennedy clutch, however the pressure plate is such a high rate that you need to brace your knee on the steering wheel to properly launch the thing. Otherwise you just stall out. I am use to heavy clutches, anything from a 2600-2900 ACT. However, I don't want my car to be a PITA to drive around on the street, and continually stalling it. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Since this is my first post, I will also attach a pic of my car. Hope you all like it. 1

Welcome to the board! Damn sexy car you got there, give us some more details
Look up member Juan Ruiz, he's on his way out of the Porsche world right now, but he can definitely tell you what's up w/ high horsepower cars where "launch" is a concern. I'll post your car pic in the message as it will surely drum up some more interest in this thread ![]()

Thanks a lot Brandon, I didn't know if it would automatically resize the picture if I posted. Well, the car has an RSR widebody on it, paint and body work was done by Legendary Motor Car (Dream Car Garage on Speed Channel), has a 6 point rollcage, 5 point harnesses, gutted, 19x13 and 19x10 K29's wrapped in 355/25 Pirelli's and 285/30 Bridgestones, straight pipe, euro motor, longneck IC, and a 1 bar spring. I have a T61 sitting in my garage that was destined for a DSM, along with an HKS racegate, as well as switching to EFI. Also has Avo shocks, polyurethane bushings, etc. I also have some RA1's sitting around for the track, going to get a set of 18" K29's in flat black for them. Hopefully she is a potent little track car for Solo 1.
