Thumbs up Sacramento PCA Tour Saturday 10/1

Been itching for a group drive, and the Sac Region has one coming up this Saturday, 10/1. Looks like they're meeting in the Rocklin area and making a loop from there. Here's the official copy;

October 1st, Foothills fun driving and picnic tour to Downieville, Sierraville, Truckee, and home. Date is Saturday Oct 1, 2005. We will leave the parking lot of Bel Air Grocery Store at the corner of Stanford Ranch Road and Sunset Blvd in Rocklin at 9 AM Sharp. To get to the start, take I 80 EB from Sacramento towards Reno. Take the Hwy 65 exit. Take the first exit off of Hwy 65 that you come to "Stanford Ranch Road/Galleria Blvd". Bear right to Stanford Ranch Road. Stay on Stanford Ranch road until you get to Sunset Blvd. The Bel Air Market will be on your left as you cross Sunset Blvd. We will be parked in the vicinity of the Taco Bell Restaurant. Bring a picnic lunch with you. There is a gas station and a Starbucks here, and Bel Air has a Deli. We will be stopping at a Winery on the way, so you can buy your wine there or bring your favorite with you. It is not necessary to make reservations, but if you get a chance, give Jim McDade a call at 916 632 1737.

I think I'll hit this one. If you can make it, come on out! If you do, please say hello. I'll be in my Weissach, and I'll bring some Dansk goodies for Pelican heads.

A good time wsa had by all. It was nice to meet you Mike. The white paint the road was an unwelcome bonus, but it did come off after stopping at the power wash on the way home. You should have taken the highway 40 route. After getting lost when we took the exit and losing everybody else it was quite a scenic ride home. Hope to see you again soon.

Thanks, John. It was a pleasure meeting you and Penny. We really had a great time on the drive. I didn't find out until later that my wife was kinda freaked out. She said she was thinking about our wills. (!)

Here's a couple pics of you guys in your cool TL;
