Did 993's ever come with full leather?

I have been considering putting a 993 leather interior in my 80SC. I have been told conflicting info on availability of factory leather interiors. I have seen many leather 993 upper and lower dashes, door panels, center consoles offered for sale. I assumed they were all factory parts. I recently spoke to a used parts retailer who states that full leather interior was not an option since the late 80's, only vinyl. Leather was a special order item and not the norm. It was stated that any leather item is probably an aftermarket recover. I am not looking to argue or disprove his point, just wondering if there are any 993 original owners that have leather as an option, not special ordered.

Yes, full leather was an option for the 993 model. Not all too common, but it was available. A majority of 993's that were equipped with full leather were TT's..

rcwaldo - thanks for the info. I take it you either have full leather in your 993 or saw it as an option when buying your car.

Are there any other 993 owner with full leather interiors?

Back in '95 when I did a tour at the factory, in the interior shop I belive they said that there were somthing lile 11 different levels of of leather avalible to the customer.
