Pelican tools???
Just got my first 911 (geof33's) with no engine and should get my 97 Varioram in a little over a week. First order of business is to get ready to put the engine in. I've been looking at a couple of the Pelican tools for sale and had a couple of questions.
Is the Pelican lift bar tool worth it for $116 (plus shipping) or can I use a more generic one? Much of a difference? Is the P201 holding fixture for an engine stand worth the $351 as compared to the Pelican engine stand adapter for $155? Thanks- Craig Backer |

Well I cannot comment on the lift bar tool. I bought the engine stand adapter. It is fine but I wish I had gotten the P201. The only problem with the adapter is clearance to work on the flywheel, etc. I just made extensions on my engine stand to push the adapter out further.
Hope this helps.
