my new 66 rat swb

Well for 200.00 bucks its mine its a 66 and its solid its been in a garage for a long time.The motor and trans are out of it.not sure what size motor it is what came in these? Im going to paint it viper green.

Yeah, 2.0 liter with aluminum cases..and a 901 gearbox, or possibly a 902 4 speed back in that era.

EDIT; Sorry, meant to say nice catch - you bought a car for the price of a front fender, these days ! ! !

If I read this correctly, you got the car for $200. Wow. You "stole" that car away from somebody.

The car came with a 2.0 liter engine in '66.

wood wheel is worth more than that, not to mention the Hella 128's. Great buy if no major rust.

A buddy of mine that knows i have 911s gave me this guys # so i called last yr and the owner wanted big bucks Then his wife wanted it out and he called and said take it im the 1 that gave him 200.00 i guess out of compassion lol it still needs alot of tlc

If you are going to part this car out, please send me a private message. I have a '66 that is also in Northern NJ and would love to see what you have, or advise you what's valuable and what's not.

You might be destroying value, rather than creating it, by parting the car, depending on condition. What is the VIN number?

I agree with John. From your pics, it looks like a pretty original and complete roller - in search of a correct period powertrain. Don't even restore it if you don't have to because of rust or such. Original is king these days...
