Very nice! It is the Roach's brother. You will fall in love with it every drive. Ant that tool with the spring thingy is great for pulling the plugs.
Welcome. alf

Oh and I just replaced my rubber centered clutch on my 56k mile 1987 -it has several track days - and still had plenty of life on it...

My original clutch lasted 90k with several track days on it. Drive it till it slips. Yes, get fuchs and a Steve Wong Chip.

I enjoyed looking at your car. It's obviously in excellent shape! Welcome to the Porsche world and enjoy this forum.
Don't drag race your 911 though, unless you want to build a new transmission. In that regard, the 911's certainly no Cobra. |

Wow, great car!
Enjoy. I did the clutch/G50 update right after I got my car. It had around 63Kmi and the clutch still looked good. You might have a little time left. My through-out bearing was going out. 87 is a great year!

Rick --
Welcome to the group. You're not going to find a better bunch of car guys on the internet. Funny you should say you sold your Cobra for the Porsche. I'm actually collecting the requsite parts to do a Daytona Coupe build -- although I won't be getting rid of the p-car. Just curious, beyond being more suitable as a daily driver, what motivated the change? T.

Congrats & Welcome! - I decided to take on a Porsche project after having a deposit on an FFR Cobra ( I ended up backing out). I'm very pleased with my decision. This board is a major influence on me and the decisions I made with my car.
Good luck, Doug

I will add to the chorus that 87 is an excellent year for a 911. Ok, so I'm biased.
Looks great. Congrats!

What happens with the clutch is that the pedal will get stiff because of the dust particals in the pin bearings. That will be the major factor as to when you dive into it, No bib deal LOTS of info here, Just look up G50 upgrade in the search section Jim

I will join the chorus--Welcome and congratulations. Great looking car. I am a particularly fond of '87 Carreras also, since that's what I own. I have 94k miles on my mine, and my clutch seems to operate without a problem (with fingers crossed).

Welcome and congrats...sweet ride! You'll love it. I was In Toronto this past summer for over a week and was shocked at the number of 911s I saw.
I used to live in Richmond Hill, so I miss it, except the winters. Yasin

What Cobra kits did you build? My old man is looking at the cars that Shelby is making in Las Vegas, but has not made the leap yet. Do you have any suggestions? And that is one bad looking 911 with the black plus dark tinted windows congrats and welcome.
Rich
