Help ID these early sport seats?

Can anyone tell what years they came from?

I think they're from a 924, with the sport package, not much worth unless your planning a restoration or som'n.

I don't know much about 924 seats but the back portion looks to me like the VERY valuable 1969-1973 911 Sport Seats. But I can't see the bottom bolsters well enough from that picture to know for sure.

I would guess around 69 if they are original. I think 70-71 had perforated bolsters and the 72-73 had perforated or basketweave centers. up to 68 didn't have headrests?

Looks like they have correct sliders and tilting bases too. They look like they are in good condition. Good find if the price is right.

I'm looking at an early car that needs to be reassembled. The seats are part of the package. I wanted to make sure these were the real deal.

Mark, the rails are the all important part of the early 911 sports seats. Without them, the seats are worthless, because the rails are different between sports seats and standard seats. These look like the real deal for sports seats, but they've been recovered poorly. Here's a link you'll find interesting...

Those are definately early 911 sport seats and judging by the seat belt recievers they are pre-'72 seats. Those are the red lever style as apposed to the next generation of push button type.

What year is the car that you are looking at?

I've excellent leather recovered ones on EBAy go for $3,000+. Sell the c ar-keep the seats.

Mark...early sports seats in any condition are worth some serious bucks...The rails are the key...in other words, is the stuff there to install them? A set of good condition early 911 sports seats with rails would buy a fleet of 924's. Because of the recovering, I couldn't guess the year of the seats you posted in your pics, other than to GUESS '69 or up...that's the year the plug-in headrests started. The "seat police" guys of the S registry board could give you more info than I could. Me? I just park my wide donkey in a set of them.

Those look like the seats from an Audi wagon....perhaps black...

Seriously.... as mentioned earlier, they are 69 to 71 based on the seat belt receivers. Good comment on the 69 part, as it is true the 70 and 71's were perforated, but they were also available perforated all the way back to 67 (got a set that's never been touched from a 67, and they are perforated)...but since most vinyl sport seats have been recovered by this time I think you have to stick with 69 to 71. As Paul mentioned the sliders are very key to this..in the pics I can see 2 of the floor mounted sliders, just check for the other 2.

Price? Current retail on a set of "cores" is roughly $2,500. Recovered seats are $3,000 and up, but you get what you pay for. You don't get Auto's Intl. quality or Tony's Autobahn, for the $3K. So yours are somewhere in between, perhaps up to $3,000 to the right buyer.

Just a bit of info for the data base, my '72 built in late December of '71 has the red button type of receiver and the vinyl is "elephant grain" and not perforated.

Bet you have the later head rests too. I have a set of 72s with the same grain. Bolsters and inserts.

It may be the pictures but the bottom bolsters look odd to me like the shape isn't right. Could be a result of the recover.
