HELP! What color to paint it??

OK, here we go again,.

What color should I paint the 993? Right now its Adventurine Green, which is kind of a dark bluish green and since i have two fenders and a hood in all different colors, i might as well repaint the whole car. And actually the green on it is not too bad..

And NO, Im not going with Gelb Green like the 72!
I thought about going with some early bright color like Tangerine, Signal Orange, Gulf Blue etc. but I just dont think it will fit the modern look of the 993.

Here is a thread from Rennlist where you can see some others..

Car of my dreams - 993.

I would actually go with the orig green color. Its sporty yet classy and discrete.

I would go w/ the orig. color Adventurine Green. It's a great looking color in the sunlight. If you were to change colors, the amount of work to do it right would be quite allot. If money isn't a problem and your having someone else do it, I would go with a maroon on your 993

Paint it the same color that way everything will match up perfectly and you don't have to worry about under the carpet, engine compartment, door jams, etc. Plus IMHO if you repaint the car another color besides factory, some people will not be interested unless it is a full body strip job.

my two cents.......

color

I saw a boxster a real nice metallic orange color, similar to the third car on Yellowbirds post. It look very modern yet retro?? I don't know what its called and I have only seen one boxster that color. Must have been special order. aircool

si senor

Claro que si Pajaro Amarillo! Que chevere ese color! Como se llama ese color?

I think the second one is closer. I recall it had some metallic to it.
If you know the code let me know.

Thanks, aircool

Hey Man,
Mexico Blue would look good.
I'm building a RSR that color.

Guards red would look nice on it. So would a Polar Silver or a Tangerine.

no aircool, rather than a special order it was probably zanzibar red, which is a metallic orange really. I agree it is very cool.

some 993s (like bill V's) were delivered in "Riviera Blue" which I think is the same color as mexico blue. I think it looks very good. I really like the orange Yellowbird posted too, I wouldn't hesitate to paint it an early 70s color!
