Talking 1001th post.

So I stand before you a changed man. It has been just a little over a year since I posted my stupid little question about 911 ownership. I asked a fairly naive and simple question about how much a brake job would cost. I was told that it was a simple DIY job but I was still hesitant to do it myself but thanks to the encouragement of fellow owners, I dove in. Exactly a year later I have a 911 that I had completely disassembled down to the rear trailing arms and the gas tank to do an number of things to the car. I hope that gives you an idea of the transformation I have been through in a little over a year.

Thinking back it just amazes me how much I have learned for the board and its members, there really isnt a better place to be if you are into these kinda things. There were many helpful people willing to lend advice but some stood out a little more. Thanks to the help of Souk and the rest of the Gruppe B guys I am now positive that there is nothing this car can throw at me that I wouldn't be able to handle. And for this I thank you, everyone who's comments have inspired or aided me in the process of making my 911 exactly what I have always wanted. And to those of you with RSR and ST replicas with their big wheels and jaw dropping motors, I hate you all and spit in your general direction.

Thanks again and keep up the great insight.

EDIT:
To give you an idea.

From this to...

To this.

And hopefully I will be posting another picture of the car when its finished this weekend.

The car would have been together last weekend if you hadn't been posting so much...

Matt, Matt, Matt. 1001 posts on Pelican and you could've been out chasing the girls instead. I'm afraid we've all led you astray.

Why not both?

I may or may not be getting more (blank) than a backseat of a taxi cab.
