Nice tease. I was all ready to flame that Jessie James clown, and you show me a picture of two beautiful cars.
How do you decide which one to drive? |

well? tell us about the cars! 2.5, was that factory, dealership, or something you just did? what about the hood treatment? what color are they, they both look to be brick red?
more photos as well please. I agree with sammy, you can't just tease like that.

'73 is 2.5L using 85mm mahle on the 2nd rebuild.
with other internal mods its good for about 205hp Bahia red, brumos stripe was on it when I ought it in '79, PO had kissed a guard rail on the NJ turnpike & I've kept it that way ever since. I later continued stripes to rear when I added duck. '77 is Peru red with zero mods to date. show room relic. ![]() ![]()

A shame to split the pair. Your son is a lucky guy. In SoCal? If so, we should have a get together.

Milt, I'm all over it. I've been sending him the threads on JO's canyon runs.
He's in Huntington Beach, works for Saleen in Irvine. Anyone going to Laguna Seca this weekend, stop by the Acemco compound and say 'howdy', and congrats to Bill (Jr.)

OK, similar question: how did you decide which one to sell?
That had to be tough. Two completely different cars in personality and appeal, both great in a different way. |

Easy again Sammy.
I've looking for a 930 for about 3 yrs and finally found this one. I had my heart set on something in the silver/gray family, but none showed as nice as the Peru red that I ended with. (Do you know how hard it is to find a true "unmolested" 29 yr old car these days?) I'm finally ready to forgo the drilled torsion bars, adj spring plates, clubsport engine/trans mounts for a smoother cruiser.

I hear you.
There is a "survivor" 77 930 on ebay now that is also listed as 'unmolested'. Read on & see that unmolested can also mean the tail has been updated, 964 cams, 5 speed trans, gmh exhaust, $4,000 alpine, electra-motive spark, & oversized titinum valves. huh? (4582332) Bill K
