throw out bearing took a crap

today i started my car and i start to hear this bearing nose didnt think much of it so when i go to push in the clutch the nose got louder .... so i took it for a drive and the unexpected happens the throw bearing fall apart .. all i hear metal just grinding ... so i turn off the car ... i look under it there puddle of gear oil ... did i just crack my transmission housing ?

Ouch! I have seen that one before. What happens sometimes when the throwout bearing siezes up it rips off some of the pressure plate fingers. Those become little spears in the bell housing and sometimes puncture the transmission case. Rare, but it does happen. I hope yours is not that bad but it sounds like you already have the gear oil coming out.
