We are waiting on Wayne to finish writing the damn thing. In the mean time the Bentley manual is about all I know of.

I just asked W.D. today, he said later......not right now. So maybe there is someone else that could put something togather,or maybe the 915 is just too simple to bother with??

Henry,
well, I am not sure, never had one apart. Got a loose pinion to ring gear thing going on. Some other noises ,,and a small grind on a quick shift from 1st to 2nd.
I know there some things that can be done to make it all more better ( I don't think I want to go to a G50)
Seems like there is a inner plate (Aluminum),better bngs. and the like to make it more stable ,along with a limited slip.
It will never be a G50,but this one has gone 90,000 miles, so maybe a update/repair will make it suitable for the way I beat it.

In order to put together a manual like this (that would cover all the Porsche transmission), in a quality format, it would take about 1500-2000 hours. That's about how long the Engine Rebuild took. I just don't have the time right now to put into a book like that (got a 1-year old, and another coming in December, and I'm still working on my other book)...

Jim Sims did an excellent extravagant text on a 915 rebuild in his early days hanging out here. I think it was all in 2 threads. Maybe 10-15 pages to print.
