Power of '89 911 Turbo ?
Hi you all.
sorry to disturb with such a simple question -for you-, but I wonder what is the power (in Horse power please) of a 1989 Porsche 911 Turbo (with should be a 3,3L engine). The reason I ask is that I'm leaving in France, and a friend is looking to buy a 930.. He is asking me what are the differences with a european model, and I believe, at least, the power is diferent. In France, -and by ext. in Germany-, the power is 300HP. The S was 330HP. What about you guys ? What other specification should I consider with a US model ??? Hope you can help. Best regards, Doudi.

The US model had 282 hp, and the Euro version 300hp because it did'nt need the emissions equipment. The Euro model also had a better fuel distributor which flows more fuel than the US model.

ok, that's a precised (? not sure of the word) answer.
If I can add a question, do you know if the compression rate is different ? In other words, if the guy change the fuel distributor and remove the emisssions equipement (catalytic converter I guess ?), will he get back to 300hp ?
