Trying to make a vinyl decal to put on a roll bar to be seen out the back of my 911. Can someone tell me if this is correct, I used one of htose online translator things and I want it to be correct German.
To be put on the roll bar, upsidedown. ![]() "Wenn Sie dieses lesen können, schlagen Sie mich bitte zurück rüber leicht" ![]() If anybody gets it, I think its preatty funny. I saw it on a jeep and I thought I would funny in to make it suited for us.

I don't speak German, but according to google that says, "If you can read this, strike me please back more rueber easily." in English.
I think it lost something in the translation.... ![]() |

Porscheguy79,
My German pal that I work with says it should say this. "Wenn Sie dieses lesen können, überschlagen Sie mich bitte leicht zurück " rather than this. "Wenn Sie dieses lesen können, schlagen Sie mich bitte zurück rüber leicht" Good luck, Dave

No offense, but no. Only marginally clever for a truck.

Hi,
As a note: A friend of mine worked on one of the first language translator programs for the US gov'mt. To test the program was asked to translate from engl. to the target language and back to compare. One test was to translate the phrase: "The spirit is willing but the flesh is weak" After translation to russian and back it read: "The wodka is ok, but the steak is lousy" So much for computer translation. ![]() Your phrase should read: "Wenn Sie dies lesen koennen, drehen Sie bitte das Auto herum". But a german would write: "Oben" followed by an arrow to the roof. and "Unten" with an arrow to the wheel side. ![]() Regards, Klaus Last edited by klatinn; 10-15-2005 at 02:53 PM.. |

I agree to Klaus, but want to suggest the following option:
'Wenn Sie dieses lesen koennen, dann rollen Sie das Auto bitte zurueck' Regards, wullie

Meine Herren,
derText würde in korrektem Deutsch lauten: "Wenn Sie dieses lesen können, richten Sie mich bitte wieder auf." As funny as a store sign "temporarily closed" on a Cab rear window.
