Trippin' through AZ, we fell upon some bathtubs and met a dog named Jerry Garcia
The wife and I decided to go on a little road trip in the 76 over the weekend. Great weather and beautiful views. The car ran great. We left Phoenix and headed to Flagstaff the back way through Yarnell - Prescott - Oak Creek Canyon.
Climbing out of the valley.   We stopped in Prescott and met up with 75Carrera (Donny) and his fiance Jayne and their dog a ferocious daschund named Jerry Garcia. Great people, I wish I could have stayed longer. Coming into Sedona...  The next day on the way up to Snow Bowl...

At the top of Snow Bowl...
  Down to Flagstaff...  Coming into Flagstaff were all these 356s in a hotel parking lot. What a great bonus to the trip.

On the way back to the Valley, we decided to go passed Lake Mary and Morman Lake, Strawberry and Pine.
  What a great trip, and what a great car to do it in.

I completely understand why there are no pictures of you coming down through Oak Creek Canyon.....
You...taking those sweeps, holding on to the steering wheel with two hands and the wife holding onto the chicken bar....with her eyes closed....ha,ha...

kqw, we had a slow moving vehicle in front of us thru Oak Creek and too much traffic to wait him out. But still a beautiful drive.

Wow. Thanks for the pics. I have driven in some of those places and they are spectacular. Everyone should take a drive in AZ at some point in thier lives.
I didn't see any mention of Jerome. I think you were close by, or no? Great road up there. |

Mark, I don't know the drive time, New car, H rated tires, and stopping to visit/ take pictures, I'd say 6 hrs on the way up but you could probably do it in 3.5 - 4hrs.
Zeke, We did go through Jerome but the wife (The one taking the pictures while we were driving) was gripping the Oh $hit bar pretty tight then so no pictures. To her credit she never ask me to slow down. I think she was having as much fun as I was.
