MFI advise needed - worn TB return springs
The TB return springs don't have enough "spring" in them to seat the throttles anymore resulting in a high idle. I've rebuilt the TB's, greased the rods and fiddled with the little microswitch that shuts off fuel to the MFI pump. The springs are so weak that the microswitch hangs the TB off of idle position by a hair. Has anybody rigged a "helper" spring to assure a fully seated TB? If so, please tell me what you did. I'm sure someone on this board has come up with a slick solution. BTW....I've made sure there are no obstructions that are getting in the way of the throttle linkage. TIA

are you sure they are mounted properly ?
can you try reassembling the springs, and add one wind to the coil ? also check , if the sticking is in the control rack or TB linkage or even in the loud pedal linkage disconnect pedal link on the control rack , see if the rack still sticks on high idle then.... i found in my own troubleshoot , that during testing , the loud pedal linkage was tricky at best for precision results the rack and TB's itself didn't pose a problem once i had that disconnected
