diagnosis of noise in rear

The other day when turning right into an alley I heard a noise in the rear of the car. Not a heavy noise. Couldn't really tell if it was a squeak, or if it was metallic. Moving at 10-15 mph. Never heard the noise before. Driving at normal speeds later in the day I didn't hear the noise. Turned left into our lane, heard the noise. Backed out of the garage, backing to my right. Noise. Pulled forward into the garage. Noise. Let the car drift (car in neutral) back out of the garage, turning to my right. No noise. Down the lane, steering quickly to left and right, like I'm on the pace lap trying to get some heat in the tires. Noise. Seems like the noise is coming from right side of the car. Put the car back in the garage.

I haven't had time to get the car in the air. I took a quick look at the sway bar bushings and end links with the car on the ground. Maybe a missing bushing, if I'm lucky. Nothing obvious. Did find that both outer cv boots have tears in them.

Thoughts?
