Yes, I've discussed that with Cam in the past. It would have been the way to go, but the engine is already assembled and I don't have injector ports in the heads.
Jerry's shop is just a few miles down the road from here, but those funnels look like $1.5 from houswares dept at Walmart. |

Agreed with what you are saying about the madonnas, though they look like they may have been custom spun. I guess you just need to find out fuel rail mounting, and have some cones with a straight section at the bottom where the EFI injector seal can mate to keep dirty air out... hmm. looking at the madonna, it appears to seal with the injector right in the cone above the hole in the cone, and just let the injector spray through. if the spray pattern is tight enough and the fuel rail mounting pushes down on the injectors somewhat, I'm sure that works too. |
you can get blueprinted injectors from Marren or RC Engineering ,I just bought some 24lb high imp injectors from Marren for $38 ea.
I also have some 36# ford motorsport injectors that are now available |
Are the heads on CamB's motor modified for the EFI injectors?
How can I reach him to ask? I have injector bungs available, but they would have to be welded or epoxied in place. If welded they probably would distort. Possibly a combination of tack welding them then epoxy-ing (??) them to seal any leaks. Anyone know how CamB did this? |
I would think you could just mill and ream the MFI opening to the correct size for the EFI injector.
