Question Muffler Question

I'm changing out my stock muffler to an aftermarket one. It is just from the CAT back. Before I start this project I want to make sure I have all the parts. Like is there a gasket between the CAT and the muffler? Also, does anyone know if the factory hangers will work for aftermarket mufflers or do I need to new hangers too?

I bought the muffler (Borla) used so I don't have these other parts. Here is a pic of what I bought.

Thanks,
Bill

Bill,
The cat stays where it is. Yes. you need a gasketbetween the cat and the muffler.
You may be able to use the OEM hangers depending on configuration and where your replacement wants to position itself in relation to the OEM you removed.

Ok, well I get the gasket. I guess I'll have to wait to get it up there before I know if I need new hangers or not. Thanks!

BTW does anyone have any suggestions on getting those bolts off from the CAT to the muffler? I bet these are going to be a B*TCH to get off.

I noticed that you have a Duc too.. I have a 99 Ducati 748. I love that bike! The only mods I put on were the carbon fiber exhaust and a performance chip. Check it out!
