Question Bump Steer?

Ok, something this cheap has got to suck, considering what bump steer kits from reputable sellers cost. None of the nice kits use this method to correct steering angle, so my only guess is that this has to be poorly considered, unsafe or both:

Ebay auction...

Hopefully this isn't a repost.

I think that kit would work just fine. Several guys on this board have used washers to eliminate the bump steer.

Pelican sells that same kit for about $13 every day.

That is a rack spacer kit, they are safe but can only correct for about 3/8 inch. You are used to seeing the tie rod end kits which cost more but offer greater correction.

Interesting; so would these people use washers over a kit like the one from ERP, etc?

Cool; thanks for clarifying, Chuck. My car is way below Euro stance. My guess is I'd benefit best from a tie rod end kit?

The rack spacers work just fine for lowered cars with stock, unmodified front struts.

The expensive drop-link style are for struts with raised spindles, or someone trying to get the bump-steer to the zero point at ride height.

The Factory built-in a fairly high amount of toe-out on bump for various reasons. Excessive lowering exacerbates this to the point of less-than-predictable handling, and more steering kick-back. These rack spacers work even on non-lowered cars to help quicken the steering response, and reduce kick-back, but on some set-ups, it may make the car darty.

The spacers work great. I eliminated all of my bump steer. Just be sure to get an alignment as your toe will change. Mine is the front car in teh pic. The 930 is stock, including the ride height, for comparison.
