915 Gearbox Pinnion Bearing Orientation

Question on the orientation of the pinnion bearing I'm planning to refit tomorrow. Because the old bearing lost its cage I'm not 100% sure of the bearing orientation. Bentley says "Install with collar of needle case facing gear set" but looking at bearing this is not clear what they're on about.

I'm starting to think the collar being described is best shown in the 3rd picture.
Best Regards
Rob

the lip on the bearing cage goes toward the pinion teeth.

John - basically the 3rd picture - gearbox on the left, engine on the right.

i looked at all my R+Ps and the lip went toward the teeth, but i can't see why it wouldn't work either way. same goes for the rest of the roller bearings.
