Serial number sticker in door jamb- how to obtain replacement?

Well, its the beginning of winter project time. This weekend I will begin the disassembly of the '85 for repaint. One of the things I know I will need is the PCNA ID sticker in the door jamb- the one with the serial # and other info on it. How do you obtain a replacement? I really don't want to tell the body guy to mask around it....

Thanks

Good luck. I waited for months and never got one. Not a very high priority for the dealer parts dept. Wish we could order the thru Pelican. Hint hint.

Yup 75 bucks.....more like 5-8 months delivery. Mine is in "the mail" as we speak. I ordered it the first week of April.

Porsche waits until they have enough orders then does a run.

I just went through this. Call Stoddards at 1-800-342-1414. Ask for Greg
in the parts department. He was very helpful. It costs $75 and took 11 weeks though. You will have to fax proof of ownership, and they will fill
out the forms and submit them to Porsche.

Just as a follow-up for this post. While speaking with Stoddard Porsche on some unrelated matters, I went ahead and asked about getting a VIN label for my '72 door jamb. Sandy Banush (also in parts department) indicated that for cars up to '86, the labels are now NLA.

I guess I got the last one then ! Everyone has a different story on these
VIN labels. I read and also talked to a couple of people that said I could not get one for my '85. It involves some work on their end, so they be reluctant . Then I spoke to Greg who did make it happen. If you want it , keep trying.

Thanks,
Mike
