Looking for a source

Does anyone know of a reliable and good sorce to have headlight/ fog light reflectors resilvered? Most chrome shops do not perform this type of restoration. Any help is appreciate.

I'd try calling John Walker, or Dave/Tyson at TRE. If anyone knows one of these guys will.

Also, do a Google search using resilver and reflector as the search terms. Lots of hits come up from various car sites. Here's an example:

<snip> Found one place in Hemmings in the restoration section - Denver CO. J&M Motorcar Lighting. Does complete restorations on lighting. Had a good conversation with him. Quickly realized I don't know spit about these things... I thought these reflectors were metal - he was talking about glass. Anyway he said there are two basic types - Lucas type have a rolled edge - tougher to resilver - cost is 80.00 plus cost of silver (minimal). Non rolled edge is 40.00 plus silver. Ph is 303 934 1507 <snip>

Finally, I wonder if a company that resilvers mirrors could do this work. A Google search turned up lots of those as well.

Good luck.

I'll give those a try. I was hoping to get a referral for a company someone here has used before. You know how it can be just sending out rare parts to some guy on the other end of a phone. Thanks
