Rear Valance ideas

Have today noticed after further inspection that the tailpipe on my shiny new rear muffler is about 1" too far over to the right, so my local porsche man decided to cut the rear valance to make it fit and frankly it looks like a dogs dinner. What do i do?

I could pay someone to cut/bend the tailpipe over to the left more where the OEM was (which was what i wanted originally)but that will still leave the messed up rear valance. Any ideas?

How would this look with the rear valance removed all together?

Anyone done this on their SC with a single out? Would it look too ratty on an otherwise std car?

This is a pic of the car before new muffler went on.

I would also remove the fog light.

Will take some current pics when i get chance, car is kept at folks at the moment until i get my garage built this week.

Nice car!
There doesn't seem to be too much available for the rear. There is quite a bit of nice things for the front. I would like to lighten my rear end load but haven't found much.
Good luck!

I had removed my valance for new exhaust, and now I kinda like the look w/out the valance.

I have seen pictures of slotted rear valances. Mine could stand a facelift after opening both sides for my 2 in 2 out Monty to vent itself. Anyone have these pics?

Here's mine with no valance, but it looked a bit odd until I removed the bumperettes aswell.

Hmmmm, well spotted Whitechameleon. I actually drove it like this for a year and never got pulled, but the MOT is coming up so I'm thinking of switching the entire bumper for something lighter.

Looks good though!

I may have to source some small lights and do the same thing myself.

First i have to get the tailpipe of my new exhaust relocated to the correct position, then TRY to remove the rear valance to either fit a new one or leave it off altogether, after a quick go at the svrews that hold the valance to the bumper last night, i suspect those screws are well in there due to steel screws and aluminium creating some kind of natural chemical bond.

May have to invest in a good impact driver.

You can get lights like the ones on my car from TRE Motorsport or I am told that BMW 2002 lights (perhaps available from Pelican??) will also do the job.

Getting the valence off is a royal PITA. I had to drill all but one of the screws on mine. It was bent anyway so had to come off.

I am still thinking about what to do with my rear bumper as I don't particularly like the valence off look or all the holes in the bumper. I am not sure if long term I want to backdate or something else and spending money on fixing up the bumper seems a waste.

My rear valance was all messed up. So I removed it and put on a dual outlet exhaust just this past weekend. Now I want to put on a new rear valance but no one makes it for a dual outlet. So I ordered up an original one. Anyways, I'm going to trace the pattern from the driverside to the passenger side.
But my question is how is the best way to cut it? Skil saw, snips, hack saw, cut off wheel, plasma cutter?? What have you guys done before and what has worked the best?

Thanks,
Bill
