door question...
ima put myself in the spotlight here....and show you all how little i know....but this has been driving me crazy...ive never driven or even been in an old porsche so someone answer this for me.... what in the world is the round knob on the door all about? ...thanks!

Don't feel bad, that was the first question I asked when I got into one. Yep, it's the door lock/unlock switch. The guy who owned the car explained that it was a security improvement because they were jimmy-proof. No idea if this is true or not.

so you pull on the knob to unlock, push to lock....thats a wild unlock knob... a little big just for a door lock dont ya think?

OK....the pic shows a "RS" rickey racer light weight door panel with roll up windows and stuff.....any more info, ya need a secret handshake and the decoder ring from the RS/R Gruppe crowd...and I'm not authorixzed to tell you....
The rest of us tiny penis 911 drivers have electric windows, arm rests and lil flapper things to open the door, roundy things to unlock the doors and a wife that smacks us upside the head when we get stoopid....
