87 Carrera- Brake Problems-portioning valve??

New MC, rebuilt calipers, speed bleeders and a pressure bleeder. Pressure bleeding, I get fluid out of the rear calipers and front, like it should. The pedal goes halfway and stops. Front calipers lock the wheel down. I can turn the back with my hands. ???? ... could I have a portioning valve gone crazy? I did let the car sit aroung 6 mths with the lines open and the system went dry. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Either the proportioning valve or an air bubble in the rear lines. I would flush/bleed the entire system again with about a quart of brake fluid. If the proportioning valve is way off center, then the brake idiot light should come on. If the system was open to the air for 6 months, you may have rust in the proportioning valve. Check to make sure that your rear pistons are not frozen either.

Bleed/flush again, and if it still does not work, replace.

Check to see if the bleeder valves are on the top of the rear calipers and not on the bottom. If they are on the bottom, then the rears calipers are on the wrong sides. (Don't ask how I learned this...).
