can someone check out this 911 in Ventura?
I've got a friend on the east coast looking for an early 911 and he's interested in this one at CaliforniaClassix in Ventura:

Sorry, I have to disagree. Yes, MM has a shady reputation, but I know of a guy with an early 911 and had his motor rebuilt by them and from what I know, he has not had issues since AND he tracks the car occasionally. So, if the motor is running now and has been for a while, I'd doubt it would suddenly explode.... Besides, he could buy the car and rebuilt the motor himself. He probably would not have to look to far if there were blatant issues.

I'm with Brad on this one. Remember it is a "T" so not big in the HP dept. Very nice early car at a reasonable price.

For a $22,000 911T I would be wary of the Motormeister rebuild... particularly the fact that the car is been sold so soon after the previous owner put all that money into it.
That being said it does look pretty nice so could be worth a look. |

looks great, was it repainted cuz the paint was faded or a wreck??
Drive the darn car and if it puts a smile on your face, how can you resist, if you never have owned and driven a p-car find a friend who has and let him drive it, he will tell you yea or nea. I have seen too many cars in pics that look great but when you get up and personal with them, they are bucket of bolts. Good luck

This is for a friend who has been out of the Porsche world for years and is looking for a car for weekend driving. I know the whole MM thing and have followed all the posts for years. This car looks pretty good even with the MM motor. I know there are some with good experiences with them, and plenty with problems.
So, ignore the car just because of the motor or check it out... Just hate to pass up a good car, it seems pretty straight.
