Question Install Tips? Fender to body gasket/bead

I removed my front fender to body gaskets and gave up on trying to install the new ones. I've removed or loosened the two hex bolts in the door jamb, and dropped some dish soap in between but couldn't get the new ones in.

Any tricks to getting these in? Seems ridiculous that I'd need to take it to someone to do this.

thx

you have a couple of bolts under hood to losen fender, after that you still might have to wedge fender apart in door jam, the dish soap is also a must. good luck

You mean there are bolts in the trunk in addition to the two in the door jamb? That might be why it was seemingly NFW.
