Problem replacing light switch

I have removed the light switch pn 911.613.029.01 and replacing with 911.613.029.03 which according to PET is the correct number for years 74-89. Two differences, K terminal has been relabed N and terminal 58 has been added.

Well, didn't notice the extra terminal and screwed up transfering the wires from switch to switch.

Two things I want to verify. I guess 58 stays blank. And
I have a red lead with white stripe coming from the blinker stalk joined together with a solid red lead. What terminal does it go to?

Thanks.

Walt;

Assuming you have a US car, here's what the factory diagram shows:

30 2.5 re & 1.5 re/wh
75 1.5 re/wh
56 1.5 wh/bk
L .5 gr/bk & 1.0 gr/bk
R 1.0 gr/re & 1.0 gr/re
K .5 gr & .5 bk/bl
57 .5 wh/gn
58a .5 bk/bl & 1.0 bk/bl & 1.0 bk/re

where the colors are :

bk black
bl blue
re red
gr gray
gn green
wh white

and the numbers ndicate the metric wire size.

Hope this helps,
JR

...and to answer your last question, it shows the red wire from terminal 30 on the headlight switch going to the terminal 30 of the ignition switch and the red/white wire on terminal 30 of the headlight switch going to terminal 30 on the turn signal switch.
