Go Gators!
|
a productive Sunday
The 3.0 swap into my '72 T is almost done and the fun will begin on 11/12 and 13 at Sebring; finally a little track time again!
Yesterday afternoon was 70-75 and breezy, so I made it a garage day. I replaced an e-brake switch and console cover hinge on the 986, since it's going away next week. But for the next few hours, the planets must have been in alignment because I got a LOT done. -Removed muffler and RH heat exchanger -Modified (with a BA hammer) an "interference" problem, which took care of the exhaust leak -Reinstalled HE and "Frankenmuffler", my track-only heavily-modded, baffle-free growler -Took off the trombone and reinstalled the repaired Turbo oil radiator -Changed out the brake fluid/bled the brakes -Adjusted the shift linkage to adapt the newly installed later- model shift tower (w/Weltmeister short shift) -Put on the track tires All that's left (for now) is reinstalling the rollbar, adjusting the new Corbeau seats and belts. Thanks for the help, y'all!

Glad you worked in the garage Sat. afternoon, so you didn't have to suffer through that terrible Ga/Fla game. I should have worked in the garage
.

Cool Tim - I sanded and scraped the ceiling in house #2... Wish I was working on getting the car ready for Sebring
. Looks like it will be January before I can make that happen... Engine looks nice too - looks like you dressed it up a little!

JBO--you must have had last year's game on Saturday. We thought it was a GREAT game!
Todd--still a few spaces on Sunday; check out Suncoast PCA website. Jeremy--sorry we won't see you next week. You need to really exercise that 3.4 beast!
