Can this targa latch be repaired?
As seen in the pic, the "center twisting receiving pin" that the handle goes into is completely broken. Can a new pin be installed?

if you can deal with something not quite original, you can cut the female end off a 1/4 drive extension, grind it down a bit to fit as low as possible and braze it in place. then grind one of the keys to a square. maybe even use a tiny 1/4 drive socket and braze it in.
if you have the original piece that broke off, you might try fitting a thin wall sleeve around the original pieces and silver solder it all together.
